A Halloween take on a traditional Battenberg: Chocolate & Orange Sponges sandwiched together with Smooth Orange Marmalade and wrapped in Golden Marzipan. Remember to cool your sponges fully in the fridge as it makes them easier to cut.
Top Tips: Use cornflour to stop your marzipan from sticking to your rolling pin, it's easier to roll the marzipan out onto a sheet of parchment coated in cornflour too as using the parchment to help you wrap the cake will stop the marzipan from breaking.

Cupcakes decorated with White Chocolate Spiders Webs
Melt White chocolate then pipe spiderweb shapes (pipe a stick-star shape & join with circles) onto parchment paper. Cool then transfer upside down onto cupcake icing as toppers.
Cupcakes stabbed with 'Glass'
Melt sugar in a heavy bottomed saucepan, being careful not to burn. Pour into a flat baking tray lined with parchment paper, let it cool then break into large shards. Decorate your cupcakes with a splatter of blood red icing or jam then stab them with the sugar shards.
